Chuckanut Mountain
Home to Larrabee State Park, the Interurban trail and some of the the most epic riding in Whatcom county so awesome that the Local running club holds their yearly 50k race on some of the trails. The Chuckanut Trail system consist of a multitude of trails including: The Hemlock Chuckanut Ridge The Hush Hush (Salal) Interurban North Chuckanut Trailhead Lost Lake Pine & Cedar Double Black Diamond DH trail (Chin Scraper) For more information visit the Whatcom County Parks Dept WMBC Adopts Lower Salal Trail We are pleased to announce a cooperative agreement to adopt the Lower Salal Trail known to many as the Hush Hush Trail. This incredible trail in the Chuckanuts is one of the finest pieces of Pacific Northwest single-track around. We grateful to the Whatcom Country Parks Department and having it adopted into the overall trail system. Special thanks goes out to Tom Chisolm who has been our liaison at the parks department. It was great to ride a trail with a land manager and discuss all the features of the trail, challenges and work together to identify improvements and modifications that will make the trail more sustainable in spots while keeping with it's natural character. We came up with an optimistic list of improvements for this year. It will be a fun new adventure and growing our roots to expand our horizons and volunteer efforts beyond Galbraith Mountain.
