This is an Intermediate to Fast ride.

Sometimes we go on epics on Blanchard and Chuckanut, other times we go local on Galbraith looking for log rides and sweet single track.

Sundays: Donut Ride - Road ride that goes to Ferndale at moderate pace for donuts at the Ferndale Bakery. A small group usually splits off for a longer ride on the return trip. Leaves from Kulshan Cycles

7:30 am from October to February

Tonys Ride - 10:00 am FAST Paced road ride, meet at Tonys in Fairhaven

Tuesdays: Tuesday Night Hot Laps - FAST paced road race training ride.

Leaves from Kulshan Cycles at 6:00pm during the racing season.

Thursdays: WHIMPs Galby Ride - 5:45 pm Whatcom Falls Park Tennis courts, Galbraith sampler. Yup, lights that can burn for 2 hours or more are required during certain times of the year.  All levels are invited.

Trail Work

Scheduled maintenance generally occurs weekends from November through April.

Freeride work parties generally occur on Saturdays, contact Bill Hawk for more information.

XC and All-Mountain trail work is generally on Sundays, contact Darren Clark for more information.

Both groups typically go up two times per month, but schedules can change due to weather and holiday conflicts.

2007 Trail Work Calendar

Why should I pitch in on Trail Work?

It increases your "Trail Karma", which is always a good thing.

There will be a drawing at the end of year for all those who showed up for trail maintenance --- each time you show for a session your name will be put into the drawing.

Also a reward program for the group/club/organization/business who have the most volunteer hours for the work year. The trailwork year is November to end of April. Prizes are donated by local supporters of the WHIMPs

Also this year we will be handing out misc. swag donated from all our sponsors at each session -

Remember to dress accordingly and also bring some gloves and  food and water.  Trail building after all is hard work and a good work out.

Thanks everyone again for your help.
