WMBC Announces New Trail Crew Leaders

The WHIMPs Mountain Bike Coalition is pleased to announce a group of volunteers who have stepped into official leadership roles within the organization as designated Trail Crew Leaders.

With an eye to the future we have been working toward an effective way to spread the workload. The ever increasing popularity and use of the trails, resulting maintenance and new construction was beginning to tax the existing structure. The process has been in the works for quite some time and after fine tuning we are ready to move forward. The new work structure will mentor, train and empower Trail Crew leaders to work initially under supervision on specific projects and then eventually lead more in depth WMBC projects.

Trail Crew Coordinators nominated individuals by virtue of their past support, expressed interest, experience and commitment to supporting the WMBC mission statement and trail building philosophy. After meetings and discussions with each nominee the WMBC Board of Directors held a vote by which all nominees were approved. Crew Leaders will work under the direction of the WMBC Coordinators. In addition to trail crew each Trail Crew Leader will also help with other volunteer tasks within the organization.
