NEW KAYA TRAIL NOW COMPLETE! The new Kaya Trail will be a great addition to the lower section of the Galbraith Trails near the Bunny Trails network. It has been a goal for the WMBC for quite some time to create a network of trails that would be easier to get to (at least from the South Side) without a lot of elevation gain. The main reasoning here being we wanted to have a place for beginners and kids to have easy access to. The trail is pretty fresh but is rideable now the more wheels on it the faster it will get. To get there head North on Galbraith/Road 1000. Go through gate, past entrance to Last Call and turn left on Road 1100. You'll see the trail markings on your right about 500 yards up the road. It will flow both ways but until it's worked in you might want to ride it coming from the North by riding the Bunny Trails first, then take a right at the south exit of the Bunny's/Road 1010 junction then immediate left. The Kaya Trail will also provide a great extension for a lower mountain loop for riders that want to expand a good long XC ride especially if you hook it up with Old Issues, The Bunny Trails and Art's Trail. Special thanks to Jack's Bicycle Center & WWU Cycling. Both were able to garner extra volunteers and make the two successive trial outings here a huge success. Also, thanks to Woods Coffee who has been donating the Coffee for the last few crews. Thanks to all the great help this trail crew season is turning out to be one of the most productive in WMBC history!
